Teen Mom Star Amber Portwood's Fiancé Gary Wayt Reported Missing Days After Engagement News

Amber Portwood's fiancé Gary Wayt has been reported missing.
Wayt—who was recently introduced as Amber's boyfriend on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter—has not been seen since June 9, according to the Bryson City Police Department in North Carolina.
In a missing person alert shared on Facebook June 11, authorities described Wayt, 39, as a bald man with brown eyes. He reportedly stands at 6'1" and weighs around 205 pounds.
Police are urging those in the Bryson City area to look out for Wayt's vehicle: a gray 2009 Nissan Rogue SUV with Indiana license plates.
E! News has reached out to the Bryson City Police Department and Portwood for comment but has not heard back. However, in an incident report obtained by TMZ, authorities said Portwood, 34, was the one who reported Wayt missing.
The MTV star told police that Wayt was last seen at their hotel, noting that he is from Indianapolis and is not a resident of the area, according to the outlet.
Wayt's missing person report comes days after news broke that he and Portwood got engaged.
Wayt made his Teen Mom debut on June 6, when he appeared on a Zoom call with Portwood and her costars.
"Hello everybody," he said before referencing how he shares the name moniker as Portwood's ex Gary Shirley, with whom she shares 14-year-old daughter Leah. "My name is actually Gary, believe it or not."
At the time, Portwood's castmate Jade Cline joked to the 16 and Pregnant alum that "maybe this is the Gary for you."
To which Portwood—who is also mom to 5-year-old son James with ex Andrew Glennon—replied, "It seems like it."
